Today is the Day

Have we ever stopped and thought about everything that happens in a single day?  All of the events that take place and the people we interact with on a day to day basis.  Stop for a moment and think about each one of them and picture their faces.  Now, do you know if they have a relationship with Jesus Christ?  If you know they do not or if you just don’t know, what have you done to share the Gospel of Jesus with them?  Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 6:2 that now is the time of God’s favor and now is the time of salvation.  Our friends, our family, our acquaintances are now given the opportunity to accept Jesus Christ, right now, but only if we are willing to share the message with them.  Are you willing to share it today?

This morning we pray, ” Father, this morning we come before your throne and we praise your Holy Name! We shout to the mountaintops and rejoice in your presence, your mercy, and your grace! Father, Paul writes that today is the day of Your favor and today is the day of salvation. Help us Father to seek out and find that one who is ready to receive the gift of salvation, not tomorrow, not next week, but today. Direct us to them and give us the words to speak and actions to take so that Christ may be revealed to them in a new and special way. Use us Father for your work we pray in Jesus’ name, amen.”
